Henry, Alexander (1739–1824), a Canadian fur tradar and explorer. He made many trips through the uncharted region that later became northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Henry's book Travels and Adventures in Canada and the Indian Territory, 1760–1776 (1809) is an excellent account of exploration and Indian customs.

Henry was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He settled permanently in Montreal in 1781. His nephew, also named Alexander Henry (1774?–1814), was also a fur trader and explorer in Canada.
